Welcome to LHRB Limited trading as Pig and a Half! We are pleased to offer our premium catering services for your special occasions. Please review the following Terms and Conditions thoroughly before placing a booking. By proceeding with an order, you agree to adhere to and be bound by these terms.
Welcome
- - Welcome to Pig and a Half! We are delighted to be part of your special event. To ensure everything runs smoothly, please read our Terms and Conditions below.
1. Booking and Confirmation
- - All bookings are subject to availability.
- - A non-refundable deposit of £150.00 is required to secure your booking.
- - Full payment is due no later than 14 days before the event date.
- - A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of the deposit and issuance of a confirmation email.
- - Failure to make timely payments may result in cancellation of the booking.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
- - All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email. The timestamp in the email will determine the applicable cancellation amount.
- - Deposits are strictly non-refundable.
- - Due to the nature of our business, late cancellations result in costs already incurred. Our refund policy reflects these expenses.
Option 1: Customers Who Have Paid a Non-Refundable Deposit and Final Payment
- - 30 days or more before the event: 100% of the final payment will be retained.
- - 21 to 29 days before the event: 90% of the final payment will be retained.
- - 20 days before the event: 75% of the final payment will be retained.
- - 11 to 19 days before the event: 60% of the final payment will be retained.
- - 10 days before the event: 50% of the final payment will be retained.
- - Less than 10 days before the event: 25% of the final payment will be retained.
Option 2: Customers Who Have Made a One-Off Payment (Including £150 Deposit)
- - 30 days or more before the event: 100% of the one-off payment minus the £150 deposit will be refunded.
- - 21 to 29 days before the event: 90% of the one-off payment minus the deposit will be refunded.
- - 20 days before the event: 75% of the one-off payment minus the deposit will be refunded.
- - 11 to 19 days before the event: 60% of the one-off payment minus the deposit will be refunded.
- - 10 days before the event: 50% of the one-off payment minus the deposit will be refunded.
- - Less than 10 days before the event: 25% of the one-off payment minus the deposit will be refunded.
- - If Pig and a Half cancels due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be provided, including the deposit and any other payments made.
3. Menu and Dietary Requirements
- - Final menu selections must be submitted no later than 14 days.
- - Dietary requirements must be disclosed at the time of booking.
- - While we take precautions, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
- - Additional charges may apply for bespoke dietary requests.
4. Event Day Logistics
- - The client must ensure safe, adequate access for our team and equipment.
- - Parking for one vehicle must be available close to the serving area. Parking fees will be invoiced to the client if incurred.
- - Delays caused by the client or venue may result in additional charges.
5. Equipment and Property
- - All equipment provided remains the property of Pig and a Half.
- - Loss, theft, or damage to equipment caused by the client, guests, or venue will be charged at replacement cost.
6. Force Majeure
- - We are not liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our control (natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, etc.).
- - We will work with the client to reschedule the event wherever possible.
7. Client Responsibilities
- - Clients are responsible for ensuring all necessary permissions, licenses, and permits are in place.
- - If alcohol is served, clients must comply with licensing laws.
- - Clients must inform us of any venue restrictions in advance.
8. Food Safety and Leftovers
- - Leftover food may not be removed unless agreed in writing beforehand.
- - We cannot accept liability for food consumed more than two hours after serving.
9. Changes to Your Event
- - Significant changes (guest numbers, timing, venue) must be communicated at least 14 days prior.
- - Changes may result in additional charges or service limitations.
10. VAT Information
- - All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
- - VAT will be charged at the prevailing UK rate.
- - Please request a VAT invoice at the time of booking if needed.
11. Liability
- - Pig and a Half’s liability is limited to the amount paid by the client.
- - We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
- - These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
12. Insurance
- - We hold public liability insurance.
- - Clients are advised to consider their own event insurance.
13. Photographs and Marketing
- - We may take photographs for marketing purposes.
- - Please inform us in writing before the event if you do not wish to be photographed.
14. Complaints
- - Concerns should be raised with our onsite team leader immediately.
- - Formal complaints must be submitted in writing to info@pigandahalf.co.uk within 5 working days.
15. Governing Law
- - These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- - Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English courts.
16. Subcontracting
- - We reserve the right to subcontract elements of service where necessary.
17. Allergens and Special Requests
- - Full allergen information is available upon request.
- - Clients must inform guests about potential allergen risks.
18. Tastings
- - Tastings are available by arrangement and may incur a charge.
19. Set-Up and Pack-Down
- - Pricing includes reasonable set-up and pack-down times.
- - Delays caused by the venue or client may incur extra charges.
20. Sustainability Commitment
- - We prioritise local sourcing and eco-friendly practices.
- - We encourage responsible waste disposal.
21. Health and Safety
- - A site risk assessment will be conducted on arrival.
- - We reserve the right to decline service if conditions are unsafe.
22. Alcohol Service (If Applicable)
- - We operate a Challenge 25 policy, meaning we will ask for identification if a guest appears under 25 years old.
- - Accepted forms of ID include a valid passport, UK driving licence, or a PASS-accredited proof of age card
- - We may refuse service to any guest who is unable to provide acceptable proof of age.
- - We also reserve the right to refuse service to any guest who appears intoxicated or behaves in a disorderly manner.
- - Our team is trained to promote responsible alcohol consumption in line with licensing regulations.
